Ideally, spokespeople for radio days or podcasts should have a wired headset (not Blue-tooth, as that adds an audio delay, which some broadcasters find annoying). They should be on a wired internet connection, or at least be as close to the Wi-Fi router as possible, and should be somewhere that doesn’t cause an echo (like a kitchen or bathroom). Whist we put a lot of thought and time into building studios with remote working in mind, doing away with the need and cost for clients to have to travel to our studios, our real-time noise cancellation and other audio and video kit can only do so much.
